The tannery Cubatão is installed in the Industrial District of Franca, along with most of the tanneries and shoe factories of the city of Franca/Brazil.

With 16,000 m2 of constructed area, in an area of 24,000 m2 with an installed capacity of processing 2,000 hides/day from fresh and salted hides up to the finished product, which is approximately 10,000 m2 per day.

The Tannery is equipped with the most modern machinery for the production of hides , being specialized in automotive and upholstery leather, leather for safety shoes and soft leathers line like floaters, napas and linning.

Currently the Tannery is focused on export of finished and semi-finished leathers, logically continuing in production for the domestic market, where we proudly provide for the best factories of Brazil in sectors (automotive and furniture) upholstery, footwear and leathergoods.

Origin

The Tannery Cubatão was founded in 1919, being one of the first tanneries in the city of Franca, who would become the future capital of footwear in Brazil.

The name Cubatão was given due to the stream that crosses the District of the same name, where was located the first premises of the tannery.
